"Radina came for an eye check the first day at Northern Academy school. We talked about his dreams and then I asked for his favorite Bible verse and he had about 5. I then asked if there was anything I could pray about for him or his family. He turned his hand to palm up and said, "Yes, this is very painful." Everything surrounding his thumb was very infected. We immediately determined he needed a doctor. I took him to sick bay to advise he was to see a doctor. As I gave a hug and walked away he looked at me and said, "I like it when Jesus sends people like you!"
I have never met Deb Campbell. I have never met Radina. But I can guarantee something. The diagnosis Deb made was not because she had some incredible background in medicine (though maybe she does, again I do not know). What is incredible is that it takes someone willing to look, ask, touch and speak.

After the resurrection of Jesus in John 20 Jesus give a commission. He says:
“Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit."
The commission that Jesus gives is to take up where he left off. The ministry is to release the world from sin through the proclamation of the good news that Jesus Christ died to take our guilt and rose to give us freedom (John 20:21-23). But how do we do that? Like he did... we look, ask, touch and speak.
God did not come over some thunderous, cosmic P.A. system to tell us all about Himself and how much he loves us. He came to us as a person who looked at, talked to, and touched people. He eve let people come and touch Him (John 20:20).
There are people beside us on trains or planes that we need to engage, look at, speak to and touch. There are people all over the world waiting for someone to look at them, see that they exist, to touch them, speak to them and listen to them. Maybe they feel forgotten. Maybe the last time someone touched them was when their mother who died of AIDS gave them a kiss or hug, but maybe that was ten years ago. Maybe there is someone sitting next to you in the coffee shop that thinks no one sees them and they ponder if anyone would notice if they were not there anymore.
If that is you and even though I cannot be right there with you right now please know that GOD LOVES YOU! JESUS DIED AND ROSE AGAIN TO RESTORE YOUR LIFE WITH THE FATHER! Please trust that this is true.
But for all of us that already trust this and cling to this promise of Jesus then He has also given us a mission: to GO! Go and SEE. Go and LISTEN! Go and TOUCH. Care for people. Love them. Hug them. Maybe even point out that they can get help like Deb did. But first she went and she saw, touched, asked and listened.
I invite you to GO everyday of your life. But consider going with Blessman Ministries and seeing a new part of the world. Maybe taking a big step like this will help you take the small step when you return home and go back to your "normal" life in the United States.
